Modifiers can be given to fruits through the use of various buffs and Placeables. They increase the value of fruits when processed in various different ways. Fruit can possess multiple modifiers at once, and there is an achievement for collecting a fruit that is simultaneously Golden, Shiny, and Mutated.
Mutated
Mutated fruit are larger than their regular counterparts, and count as two of that fruit once collected, effectively doubling the value of that fruit. By default, mutated fruit will not drop unless buffed.
- The Waste Barrel increases the chance of fruit to be Mutated by 20%.
- The Radioactive Sprinkler gives nearby fruit a +20% chance to be Mutated.
- The Mutagen increases all fruits' chance of being Mutated by +10% each.
Golden
Golden fruit, as the name would suggest, gain a golden color, sparkle, and a glossy sheen. These fruit are worth 5x more, and are sold instantly when collected. By default, golden fruit will not drop unless buffed.
- The Midas Gauntlet gives every fruit a +10% chance to be Golden.
- The Golden Sprinkler gives nearby fruit a +10% chance to be Golden.
- The Crown Jewel increases all fruits' chance of being Golden by +5% each.
Shiny
Shiny fruit, as the name would suggest, are shinier versions of the base fruit. They count as three of that fruit once collected, effectively tripling the value of that fruit.
- The Sparkling Water Triples the fruits' base chance to be shiny.
